Snakebite poisoning is a neglected tropical disease that affects between 1.8 and 2.7 million people each year and claims between 81,000 and 138,000 lives, causing 400,000 cases of permanent disability.

The goal is to reduce the number of deaths and cases of disability from snakebites in the coming years through a program targeting affected communities and their health systems, ensuring access to safe and effective treatment through increased cooperation, collaboration and association at all levels.
